Choosing the right bathroom tiles is probably the most important aspect to consider when tiling bathrooms or shower rooms, as not all tiles will be suitable. Either due to their texture such as heavily glazed or polished floor tiles as they can be slippy when wet, or perhaps due to them being too abrasive for walls such as mosaic thin slate or stone strips that could graze you if you knocked your arm on them for example.
There are some instances of very porous tile holding dirt and grime after long periods of use so some may need sealing at least, or in worse case, not used directly in the wet areas, either in the shower or near the wash basin splashback.
